Dinesh Phadnis was born on November 2, 1966, in Bihar, India. He didn’t reveal much information regarding his parents so it is hard to discuss them. Dinesh was brought to Mumbai, Maharashtra, where he completed his education.

Dinesh Phadnis had a big break when he landed the recurring role of Inspector Fredericks in the hit television series “CID“. The show began airing on Sony Entertainment Television in 1998 and Dinesh played her character as Freddy for almost two decades from 1998 to 2018.
His immense performance led him to become a household name in the industry, garnering millions of fans from all across the globe. Following the success of his character, Dinesh showcased his writing abilities by working as a co-writer with Sriram Raghavan for some episodes of “CID”.

On December 4, 2023, Dinesh Phadnis was hospitalized at Tunga Hospital in Mumbai. He was kept on ventilator support and was undergoing treatment for liver damage. Dinesh Phandi passed away on December 5, 2023, on Tuesday at noon after multiple organ failure.
Dinesh left his family behind. In November 1993 Dinesh Phadnis married his wife Nayana Phadnis and the couple later welcomed their daughter named “Tanvi Bhate”.
