Early Life
Jake Matthew Lloyd was born on March 5, 1989, in Fort Collins, Colorado. His father William Lloyd worked at a local EMT and his mother Lisa Riley was an entertainment agent. Jake became interested in acting because his mother was already a part of the entertainment industry.
Career
Jake began acting when he was 7 years old. His first role was as Jimmy Sweet in a four-episode drama series “ER” in 1996. Jake followed that up with his first role as Jake Warren in “Unhook the Stars” directed by Nick Cassavetes.
Breakthrough
Jake had a big break when he landed a starring role as Jamie Langston in the family comedy film “Jingle All the Way” in 1996. Later that year, he earned a gig in another massive hit film “Apollo 11” in which he played the role of Mark Armstrong.
Despite these big roles, the worldwide notoriety wouldn’t become a part of his life until 1999. Jake beat out 3,000 others who auditioned for the role and the auditions took place over two years. At first, Jake was too young, and too short, but eventually grew into the perfect little “Anakin Skywalker” and won the role.
Jake portrayed his role in the highly anticipated film “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace” that came out in 1999. His performance earned him a Saturn Award nomination. However, the film wasn’t successful, and even Jake’s performance wasn’t received well by the audience.
Though, Jake tried keeping the dream alive with a couple of bit roles in films like “Die with Me” and “Madison”. By 2001, he retired from the world of acting. Jake Lloyd has a net worth of 25k thousand US dollars.

Jake left school in 2012 to focus on directing a documentary highlighting the Tibetan Refugees in India who were attempting to escape persecution by the Chinese government. From there, he attended the odd convention and spoke about shifting his focus to editing.
Around this time, Lloyd had a Facebook page where he was posting some of his videos and photos of him. Then, all of a sudden he disappeared from the internet and all public appearances.
Legal Issues
In March 2015, Jake assaulted his mother in her house in Indianapolis, an assault that his mom says was triggered by schizophrenia. According to the report, she filed, Jake showed up at her house and began yelling at her over how she had ruined his life.
By the time the police arrived, Jake was already gone, but his mother declined to press charges. Despite the assault, Jake’s mother Lisa told the police that she didn’t believe her son was a violent person.
In June 2015, Jake was arrested for reckless driving, driving without a license, and resisting arrest. He reportedly endangered others as he passed cars on a double yellow line and sped up to avoid police. Jake was charged with failure to stop and resisting arrest.
