Mudassar Khan was born on October 20, 1987, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He grew up in a Muslim family alongside his sister Farheen Khan and brother Mubashirk Khan. Mudassar hasn’t disclosed much information regarding his family and parents.
He did his schooling at M.T.S.Khalas High School, Goregaon, Mumbai. Upon his graduation, Mudassar went on to graduate from the Prakash Degree College located in Kandivali, Mumbai.

The turning point of Mudassar’s career came in 2009 when Salman Khan offered him to work as a choreographer on a song for his upcoming film. In 2010, Mudassar got an opportunity to showcase his choreographic skills in Slaman’s hit film “Dabangg”.
As a choreographer, Mudassar made his debut in the song titled “Humka Peeni Hai” which was included in the 2010 movie “Dabangg”. He followed this up by choreographing the song “Desi Beat” for the 2011 film “Bodyguard”.
