Manju Warrier was born on September 10, 1978, in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu, India. She grew up in a Malayali family alongside her elder brother, Madhu Wariar who pursued his career as an actor and producer.
Munju’s father T. V. Madhavan was an accountant at Nagercoil regional office and her mother Girija was a Kathakali artist. While growing up in Nagercoil, she attended CSI Matriculation Higher Secondary School.
