She ended up working as an exploratory geologist in the mining sector for around six months while she was in Perth. She resigned from her work and left Australia as soon as she realized she had enough money saved up.
Noraly traveled alone on a backpacking trip across Southeast Asia, East Africa, Central America, and South America. About two years later, Noraly was broke jobless, and homeless after spending all of her savings. At this point, she had to return to her home country of the Netherlands.
Afterward, she secured employment with an International dredging company when she arrived. There, she spent five years working on several dredging projects all across the globe. She was thrilled that she could work and travel at the same time. In the midst of all of this, she became distracted and felt the desire to return to traveling full-time.

In 2018, Noraly quit her job, sold her home, and booked a one-way journey to India and she hasn’t looked back since then. She aimed to start a travel blog and offer various trip advice and suggestions for anyone who enjoyed traveling alone.
She instantly launched her blog titled “Itchy Boots” where she began writing about Bangladesh, and India, after taking a backpacking trip across them. Noraly stayed in the small town of Manali while touring the Northern region of India.
