Gekyume Onfroy was born on January 26, 2019, in Florida, the United States. His father is a late rapper Xxxtentacion who reached massive success at a young age with hit singles like Sad, Look at me, and Everybody Dies Their Nightmares.

The rapper was undoubtedly the fastest-growing musician in the rap community with his sophomore album “?” debuting at number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts. This was the start of 2018, a year that despite his feats would end up being the last year of his life.
On June 18, 2018, in Deerfield Beach, Florida, Xxxtentacion was visiting RIVA Motorsport when at nearly 4 pm he was approached by two armed suspects. The rapper was shot and the suspects fled in an SUV car. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, however, Xxxtentacion passed away.
