Early Life

Casada Aaron Sorrell aka Sada Baby was born on November 17, 1992, in Detroit, Michigan. He grew up in the East Side of Detroit, which shaped who he is today.

Music has played a massive role in his life since day one and he has listened to acts like Soulja Boy, Ying Yang Twins, and Youngblood. On the weekends he sang in the church choir from 9 to 11.

Little by little, Sada Baby was discovering his passion for music. Later, he moved to Washington DC for about a year, away from his father, and didn’t go to church anymore.

Career Beginnings

Sada Baby’s interest in music waned until his cousin Ashley inspired him to pursue a singing career again. By this point in his life, Baby was in high school. At that time, he started to branch out into other types of music like alternative rock getting into acts like The Gorillas and System of a Down.

Sada began freestyling every chance he could get for a few hours each day, releasing a bunch of sweet verses and then promptly forgetting them the next day. At 19, Sada decided to pursue a career in the music industry. However, his progress was slower than expected.

Other Ventures

To keep both himself and his dream alive, Sada Baby lived at his grandma’s house and took on odd jobs here and there to pay the bills. He worked at a car wash only for one day because the manager called him into the office and told him he wasn’t fast enough to continue working there.

He worked several other restaurant gigs while also hustling on the side by selling weed. Despite his busy schedule, he still found time to pursue his passions for basketball and cooking.

After about three years of living like that, Sada had to look at himself in the mirror and admit that things weren’t going as planned. He had to make a change because he was flat broke.
